The Jaguars have won nine of the last 10 meetings in the Bell Game, including the last four.
For whatever reason, the perception is that Falls Church should run away with this game again, but look at the numbers. Stuart has the higher defensive ranking and only scores 0.9 points per game fewer by comparison.
The Raiders also played the superior out-of-conference schedule, as their opponents are a combined 11-15. The Jaguars’ non-district opponents are a combined 8-19.
Neither team can mathematically qualify for the playoffs, so this one is for pride.
Whichever feature running back has the bigger night will determine the winner, especially with wind in the forecast.
Falls Church senior Marcus Hughes leads the region with 1,507 yards, despite just 88 against Hayfield last week.
Stuart senior Chris Ventura is threatening 1,000 yards himself and has gone over 100 five times, including each of the last two games.
